Positive Code of
Conduct
Our primary objective is to help each
swimmer realize their full swimming potential. In order to do so,
an environment that will encourage accomplishment must be
established and maintained. With that in mind, we have developed a
Positive Code of Conduct and expect all Marlin swimmers to do their
best to follow it.
- To think and act positive at all
times
- To be a positive role model
- To behave like ladies and gentleman at all
times
- To treat fellow teammates and fellow Y
members with respect
- To respect the privacy of fellow
teammates
- To avoid spreading rumor or gossip that
could be detrimental to fellow teammates
- To positively encourage their fellow
teammates at practice and competitions
- To respect their coaches and other Y staff
members
- To represent their team with pride at all
times
- To try their best in practice and
competition
- To follow all practice guidelines
- To participate in all the practices
recommended for their level
- To be on time for practice and
competition
- To remain until the conclusion of
practice
- To bring all necessary equipment to
practice
- To participate in all designated
competitions
- To wear designated team apparel at all
competitions
- To respect the wishes of chaperones at away
meets
- To do their part in keeping the pool deck
and locker room tidy at all times
- To report any sign of illness or injury to
a coach or Y staff member immediately
- To attend all designated team
activities
